Itinerary - Croatia

Masai Mara and Gorilla Adventure

 

An epic adventure awaits you on this 12-day tour through Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. From wildlife safari drives to meaningful interactions with the local people, you’ll get a well-rounded understanding of what makes these Africa countries so special.

Day 1: Nairobi

Arrive and get settled at your hotel. If you have the time and energy, you may choose one of these optional activities:

  • Bomas of Kenya Tour

  • Spent time at the Railway Museum, Karen Blixen Museum, and/or the National Museum

  • Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

 

Day 2: Nairobi/Masai Mara

  • Journey through the Great Rift Valley to Kenya's premier wildlife reserve.

  • Get settled at the safari camp.

  • Head out for a late afternoon wildlife safari drive with excellent chances of spotting at least a few of the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo

 

Day 3: Masai Mara

  • Enjoy an early wildlife safari drive when animals are most active.

  • Opt to visit a Masai village where you can learn about this nomadic culture and even learn to dance like a warrior.

  • Or choose to get a new perspective over the beautiful landscape from the vantage point of a hot-air balloon.

Day 4: Masai Mara/Nairobi

Experience one final wildlife safari drive before the journey back to Nairobi.

  • Enjoy lunch at Ubuntu Café.

  • Explore Nairobi on your own.

Day 5: Nairobi/Kampala

  • Travel from one bustling East African capital city to another.

  • Relax in Kampala and await the second part of this epic adventure.

 

Day 6: Kampala/Fort Portal

  • Take the scenic route to Fort Portal at the edge of Kibale National Park.

  • Spend the night on a guest farm listening to the sounds of monkeys and birds.


 

Day 7: Kibale National Park

  • Embark on a guided trek in search of chimpanzees.

  • Enjoy a traditional lunch in the Bigodi Community.

  • Opt to venture deep into the wetlands to spot more wildlife on a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary.

 

Day 8: Kibale NP/Queen Elizabeth NP

  • Continue on to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping at the equator.

  • Head out on a wildlife safari drive in the afternoon.

  • Keep your eyes peeled for warthogs, elephants, buffalo, five different species of primates, and hippos.

 

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Take an early morning wildlife safari drive.

  • Enjoy lunch inside the park.

  • Opt for an evening cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

 

Day 10: Queen Elizabeth NP/Bwindi Impenetrable NP

  • Enjoy the scenic drive south, with views of forests, volcanoes and lakes.

  • Spend the night on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

 

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking

  • Rise early for the tour's major highlight: gorilla trekking!

  • Head into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to meet the park ranger/guide for orientation.

  • Embark on the trek, which can vary in length and difficulty, depending on the location of the gorilla family that's being visited.

  • Spend 1 hour (max) observing these beautiful and endangered creatures, a truly privileged experience.

  • Trek back and return to town.

  • Enjoy free time in the afternoon.

 

Day 12: Bwindi/Kigali

  • Cross the border into Rwanda, then head to the capital city, Kigali.

  • Visit the genocide museum to learn more about the dark history of this fascinating country.

  • Enjoy lunch at Nyamirambo Women's Centre.

  • Depart Rwanda and return home.

Itinerary - Sout Korea

Luxury Costa Rica

 

Experience the best Costa Rica has to offer in just two weeks. Travel from San Jose to Turrialba, Bajos del Toro, Arenal, and the stunning coasts of the Nicoya Peninsula.

Day 1: San Jose

  • Arrive in San Jose.

  • Explore the local area or head to your hotel’s rooftop bar to take in panoramic views of the city.

 

Day 2: San Jose/Turrialba

  • Travel to Turrialba where you will spend 3 nights in a luxurious      eco-lodge.

  • Opt for a spa treatment at the lodge.

 

Days 3 & 4: Turrialba

You have two free days to explore. Possible activities include:

  • A canopy tour through the stunning scenery

  • A guided hike through the jungle

  • Rafting on the famous Pacuare river

  • Horseback-riding

 

Day 5: Turialba/Bajos del Toro

  • Transfer to Bajos del Toro in the Central Valley where you will       spend 2 nights.

  • Settle in and enjoy a delicious dinner at your resort.

Day 6: Bajos del Toro
Spend today as you please. Possible activities include:

  • A Mystic Hike through the Hummingbird Garden and cloud forest trails.

  • Wine tasting

  • A guided hike to the stunning Las Gemelas waterfalls

  • A cooking lesson with a chef who will introduce you to Costa Rica’s culinary favourites. 

 

Day 7: Bajos del Toro/Arenal National Park

  • Travel to the Arenal Volcano National Park where you will stay for 3 nights.

  • Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

 

Day 8: Arenal

  • Start your day with a private trip in a Sky Tram to reach the highest point of Arenal reserve.

  • Begin an adventurous Sky Walk Tour, comprising an impressive series of bridges and paths. Don’t forget your binoculars!

  • Take a gentle hike through the forest and old lava flows around Arenal Volcano

  • Visit the famous Tabacon hot springs where you can take a dip and relax.

 

Day 9: Arenal

  • Float along the quiet waters of Penas Blancas River on inflatable rafts, joined by an expert guide who will point out the local fauna, flora, and wildlife.

  • Enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

 

Day 10: Arenal to Nicoya Peninsula

  • Travel to San Jose to check in for your short domestic flight to Nicoya.

  • Transfer to Santa Teresa where you will spend your last 4 nights.

 

Days 11-13: Santa Teresa
You have three luxurious days to relax and explore. Possible activities include:

  • A yoga class

  • A tortilla-making class

  • A surf class

  • Horseback riding with and experienced naturalist

  • Sunset kayaking

  • A waterfall tour to Montezuma

  • Much more

 

Day 14: Depart

Transfer to Tambor Airstrip for your short flight to San Jose and then onward to your next destination.

Itinerary - Chile

Adventure Cruise to Antarctica with Whale watching

 

Embark on a life-changing adventure to the world's most remote wilderness. Enjoy Incredible scenery; sail beside orcas, minkes, and humpback whales; and see colonies of Adelie, gentoo and chinstrap penguins.

NOTE: Trips to Antarctica are at the mercy of the weather and ice, which can change dramatically. Your experienced expedition crew will remain flexible and take advantage of any opportunities that arise to ensure you have a memorable trip.

Day 1: Ushuaia

  • Arrive in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world.

  • In your free time, you might visit the Maritime Museum or join a tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park, which offers magnificent hiking opportunities.

 

Day 2: Ushuaia

  • In the morning, use your free time to go shopping, take an excursion to Tierra Del Fuego National Park or hike up to the Marshall Glacier.

  • In the afternoon, embark on the expedition ship.

 

Day 3: At Sea/Drake Passage

Sail the famous crossing named after Sir Francis Drake.

Day 4: At Sea 

  • Cross the Antarctic Convergence.

  • Watch seabirds, whales, and other species.

  • Attend on-board lectures to learn about the extraordinary human and natural history of the Antarctic region.

 

Days 5-10: The Great White Continent

Navigate southward, making stops in the South Shetland Islands, then through the Bransfield Strait and to the Antarctic Peninsula. Experiences you can expect during your adventure:

  • Marvel at the breathtaking scenery.

  • Encounter abundant wildlife, including penguins, whales, seals, and seabirds.

  • Learn about some of the most important and dramatic expeditions to this remote corner of the world.

  • Travel to shore by Zodiac and visit some of the vast penguin rookeries.

  • Visit one of the Scientific research centres, conditions permitting

 

Days 11-12: At Sea/Drake Passage

Head north toward The Drake Passage for your return to Argentina.

 

Day 13: Ushuaia

Return home or head off on another epic polar adventure.

Itinerary - Sout Africa

Sri Lanka and The Maldives 

 

Start your journey in Sri Lanka to experience the iconic sights of the Cultural Triangle, tea plantations, tiny villages, elephant and leopard safaris, and gorgeous beaches. Then head to the Maldives for a relaxing week in a tropical paradise.

Day 1: Colombo/Negombo

  • Arrive in Colombo and transfer to Negombo.

  • Spend the afternoon exploring or relaxing by the pool.

 

Day 2: Negombo/Cultural Triangle

  • Visit the incredible Dambulla Cave Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the largest temple cave complex in Sri Lanka.

  • Continue to Kandalama in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle where you’ll stay 2 nights.

 

Day 3: Rock Fortress of Sigiriya/Minneriya National Park

  • Take a drive to the iconic Rock Fortress of Sigiriya, a UNESCO complex, and a hike to the top for breathtaking views.

  • Head to Minneriya National Park for a 4×4 sunset jeep safari to view wild elephants. You might also spot leopards, sloths, purple-faced langur monkeys and macaques.

Day 4: Cultural Triangle/Kandy

Travel to Kandy where you’ll spend 2 nights.

 

Day 5: Kandy

  • Visit the UNESCO Temple of the Tooth and Royal Palace.

  • Walk around Kandy Lake.

  • Tour the Kandy Royal Botanical.

Day 6: Kandy/Tea Country

  • Board a train headed south through the tea plantations and local villages to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya, where you will spend 2 nights.

  • Relax on the veranda at your hotel.

  • Enjoy a delicious meal made with fresh vegetables from the garden.

  • Explore the local area on foot, or take a trip to one of the local villages to experience Tamil life.

 

Day 7: Tea Country

  • Visit a tea factory to learn more about the nation’s favourite drink.

  • If you are feeling active, hike to “World’s End” in the Horton Plains National Park.

 

Day 8: Tea Country/Yala

  • Travel approximately 5 hours to the border of Yala National Park where you will spend 2 nights.

  • Relax and soak up the sounds of bird life from the deck of your luxurious tented lodge.

 

Day 9: Yala

Head into Yala National Park to enjoy a private half-day 4×4 jeep safari in search of leopards. Also, be on the lookout for crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, monkeys, tortoises, and mongoose. 


 

Day 10: Yala/Mirissa

Drive to the coast and stay near Tangalle for 3 nights.

 

Days 11-12: Mirissa

Enjoy two full days at the beach.

  • Relax on the unspoilt beach

  • Sway in a hammock under a palm tree in the lush garden.

  • Watch the mesmerising sunset from the villa terrace

  • Take a late-night dip in the pool.

  • Keep your eyes peeled for Tangalle’s resident sea turtles swimming off shore

  • Check out the turtle conservation project at Rekawa, a small village 10 km from Tangalle. 

 

Day 13: Mirissa/Galle Fort

  • Transfer to Galle Fort and stay overnight inside the fort walls at Fortaleza Landesi.

  • Enjoy a walking tour to learn about Galle’s rich heritage.

 

Day 14: Galle/Colombo/Maldives

  • Travel north to Colombo Airport for a short flight to the Maldives.

  • Transfer by boat to the remote Northern Atoll of Laamu where you will spend 7 nights.

 

Days 15-20: Laamu

You’ll have six full days to relax and enjoy the island, a place where you're likely to see more manta rays and sea turtles than people. There is a huge amount to do, including:

  • Diving and snorkelling in the coral-rich house reef

  • Daily presentations to learn more about the underwater population and their biodiversity by the on-site marine biologists

  • Sunset tour to watch dolphins play in the warm sapphire sea

  • Surf the Yin Yang

  • Explore the uninhabited islands, go island hopping, and meet locals

  • Take a cooking class or go line fishing in the traditional Maldivian way

 

Day 15: Male

This morning you will be transferred by speedboat back to Male Airport for your flight home.
